Dear Mom,
We have been learning about Gail Gibbons. She is passionate because in her recycling book she asked an expert to get some information. In her building a house book she said things that we didn't know like you had to have to brush your basement floor after cement gets poured and that your septic tank is a few feet away from your house. She draws the pictures but it's a non-fiction.
We just finished the topic on letters in writing. I liked the letter topic the best because now we can write letters and they will go to Wee Deliver! Letters are nice to write because you can talk to friends when your not near them. We even got to send a letter to a author. I sent mine to Patrica Pollaca. In loved the letter writing unit!
Love,
Morgan

That is great that you learned about building a house. It is a lot of hard work. Do you remember when we were building our house? It is wonderful that you learned about writing letters. You will have lots of practice while writing your thank you notes from first communion!

Dear nana,
This week in school I learned about Gail Gibbons. She was an author for children's books. She used fiction pictures, but some books had non-fiction facts. Gail Gibbons was also an artist for pictrues and some other stuff. One of my favorite books she wrote was Nature's Green Umbrella Tropical Rainforest, because I was all about the rainforest and types of animals that lived there. In one of her books Recycle she asked an expert at recycling. Her name was Lisa Young, in the beginning she wrote a little paragraph that said "Special thanks to Lisa young, the recycling public outreach coordinator of the state of Vermont" when I read the note I thought It was very nice.

Dear Mom, 4/25/14
From the past few weeks we have been learning about plants. We are growing pant rite in call. This is what we did, fist we have soda bolde that we slit in half. Then we put some water in the bosom of the bolds. Nest I put tow cups of dirt in the bolds. Last we planted the seeds. They are bean seeds. It has been about three weeks. My plant is about tow inches long. The plant only has tow leafs. That is what class learned how to grow a seed.

Dear Mommy,
This week I learned about Gail Gibbons. She wrote all non fition books. She was a person who liked to ask a lot of q.ustions to her parents. I the book Recicle she asked an expert about recycling before she wrote instead of taking the information she already knew. 'Ga il Gibbons was very patient about writing her books and not getting fusterated of writing them. class and I also thought that she j really likes nature so much.
This week I also learned about hundreds, ones and tens. It is so easy to me because all you do is count them and write down how to spell them on a line correctly and write a sentence about that number. for example I have 978 dolls that I have gotten from my birthday. Ad this is how you spell it. Nine hundred seventy eight. I think I could do a little bit better though because I want to be super fast at it so I also can get my other work done and I could get to my math center faster and I could get it done and do it longer.

Lily
